Andesite
Andesite is a magmatic rock formed by the volcanic eruption, having a fine extruded grain, in different shades, form brown and purple to gray.
Andesite is a rock rich in plagioclase feldspar minerals, but also contains biotite, piroxen or amphibol, having a uniform structure and representing a building material with an extraordinary hardness. Its name is related to the fact that this stone was discovered, initially, in the Andes Mountains of South America.

- Due to its particular hardness and strength, andesite resists to abrasions and thermal shocks, being very suitable for ornaments and for outdoor works, such as plywood and flooring.
- Andesite is recommended for the construction of curbs, tiles, stairs treads and pedestrian pavements, in areas with intense traffic.
